23. Afife Jale Tiyatro Theatre Awards Nomination: The Best Choreography
7. Yeni Tiyatro Dergisi Emek ve Başarı Awards Nomination: The Best Light Designer

ALTAR tells the story of a reconciliation process. The audience is invited to visit the subconscious of the main character, a HIV+ queer person, who revisits past events that left their mark on his life from his hospital room. The piece comes and goes between reality-fantasy, past-present moment, despair-hope, fragility and vulnerability.

ALTAR is a loaded and severe story. It deals not only with heartbreaks but also goes to the roots of diverse dynamics such as shame, envy and hate. As in The Hero's Journey, it deals with our shadows parts which were forgotten but at the same tie which carry the very first sign of our aliveness. After all, the piece works as an integration of one's psyche, which has to be always faced with challenges of time. Bravery? Perhaps, it is what we all need sometimes to re-construct our lives when we hold on to our personal authority.

The performance has been created in nine months, where each part of the team has collaborated like in a puzzle. Text, choreography, decor and light design showed a continuous renewal process in order to complement each other in the best way.
